My "Emotion Graphics" series was, first and foremost, an exploration into the art of design. I made this project looking to imbue the viewer with each of the five featured emotions as simply and effectively as I could. While I used some intermediate Photoshop techniques to polish the images, I wanted the project to focus on the combination of a large text element and a photo that deeply elicited that emotion within myself.
This project has been extremely valuable not only in further developing my typographical and photo editing skills, but has more importantly taught me many methods to focus on intentionality in design. By having such a barebones structure for the project, I forced myself to pick each photo and text element with as much precision as possible.
